Another convenience store robbery was reported at 11:30 Tuesday morning.
Police were called to 303 SE 30th Street, south of the fairgrounds, to the Super Quick store. A black male reportedly displayed a handgun during the robbery while a white male waited in a brown car outside. Police are investigating whether a spray painted gold Chevrolet Cavalier with license plate DKG363 is connected with this robbery and one that occurred Tuesday night on Ingersoll Avenue. Case# 10866. In another of a string of convenience store robberies, police say a small black handgun was displayed during the robbery of an Ingersoll Avenue business Monday night. The Quick Star convenience store, at 2701 Ingersoll Avenue, was robbed Monday around 6:00 PM. Witnesses say a small brown vehicle was used by the perpetrator, which fled north on 28th Street. Officers patrolled the area looking for the vehicle. It's thought that a Chevrolet Cavalier that was reported stolen earlier in the day, spray painted gold could have been the suspect vehicle in the robbery. Case# 10791. |
